Overview

WebShop is a digital retail counter and inventory management system designed to help small shop owners manage their everyday store operations more efficiently. Instead of relying on manual registers, scattered records, or calculations, shopkeepers can maintain their inventory digitally and manage sales and billing from a single system.

Once products are added to the system, WebShop connects inventory with the billing process. When a sale is recorded, the purchased items are automatically deducted from the available stock, helping keep inventory records up to date with every transaction.

The system also provides visibility into stock levels through a centralized dashboard, helping shopkeepers identify products that are running low and take action before they become unavailable.

Challenge

For small retail businesses, keeping track of inventory can become difficult when stock records are maintained manually. Every purchase adds to the available inventory, while every sale reduces it, making continuous tracking necessary to understand what is actually available in the shop.

Manual inventory management also creates additional work during the billing process. Shopkeepers need to record what has been sold, calculate the bill, maintain customer details where required, and then update their stock records accordingly. When these activities are handled separately, there is a greater possibility of outdated records, calculation errors, or difficulty in identifying the actual stock position.

Another common challenge is knowing which products need to be replenished. Without a clear view of stock levels, shopkeepers may only realize that a product is running short when the available quantity is already too low.

WebShop was designed to bring these everyday retail activities into one connected system, reducing the need for repetitive manual updates and making inventory easier to manage alongside day-to-day sales.

Solution

WebForgerz developed WebShop as a digital retail management solution that connects inventory, purchasing, billing and stock monitoring within a single workflow.

The process begins with the shopkeeper adding the products and available quantities to the system. Once the initial inventory has been entered, subsequent stock movements can be managed through purchase and sales transactions.

When new stock is purchased, the shopkeeper can verify the incoming purchase information and enter the relevant products and quantities into WebShop. The system then updates the available inventory accordingly.

During a sale, the shopkeeper can create a bill for the customer and add the products being purchased. An invoice is generated for the transaction, while the quantities of the sold products are automatically deducted from the inventory.

This creates a connected flow between sales and stock management, allowing the inventory record to reflect the shop’s transactions without requiring the shopkeeper to manually reduce stock after every sale.

WebShop also provides a centralized dashboard that gives shopkeepers visibility into their inventory and highlights products approaching shortage levels. This helps them identify products that may need replenishment and make purchasing decisions based on their current stock position.

By bringing these essential activities together, WebShop provides small retailers with a simpler way to digitize their counter operations and maintain better control over their inventory.

Results

WebShop creates a more organized approach to managing everyday retail operations by connecting inventory and billing within the same system.

With stock automatically adjusted when products are sold, shopkeepers can maintain a more up-to-date view of their available inventory without having to make separate manual deductions after each transaction.

The billing and invoicing workflow also provides a structured way to record customer purchases, while incoming purchase entries allow new stock to be added back into the system after verification.

The dashboard gives shopkeepers a clearer view of their stock position and helps bring attention to products that are approaching shortage levels. This can make it easier to plan replenishment and avoid unnecessary gaps in product availability.

Overall, WebShop turns routine retail activities into a connected digital workflow, giving small shop owners a practical system to manage their products, sales, invoices and inventory from one place.
